DESIGN
Giat does not fear new challenges and is always keen to explore new markets and new ways to use silicone. Since last years, Giat works together with designers, architects and design firms which want to know more about silicone or use it to create their products.
INDUSTRIAL
Even in the industrial field Giat was able to rethink its products, bringing colored gaskets on the market. Such gaskets give a totally different look to the home appliance, transforming it into a design product. Moreover, platinum silicone enhances brightness and intensity of colors.
FURNITURE
Thanks to its collaboration with Agape, Giat started to work on furniture and accessories. Combining Agape design with Giat’s experience in the silicone industry resulted in Kaa, a set made up of a hand-held shower and a shower head entirely made of silicone, available in several pastel colors. After that experience, Giat is currently developing other projects related to bathroom and interior design in a more broad sense.
PHOTO LUMINESCENCE
With Scavolini, a famous Italian kitchen brand, Giat worked to create a kitchen that lives at night. Applying glowing profiles on edges, the kitchen becomes alive once lights are switched off. A visual effect that allows users to navigate the room without using lights. Moreover, Giat is currently working on other photoluminescent products, which will be available in the coming months.
KITCHEN
Using its experience with silicone molding, Giat produces cake moulds and cooking tools made of silicone. Platinum silicone makes them resistant to freezing and baking temperature without losing its physical properties.
INTERIORS
For Pomellato’s shops around the globe, Giat built uneven silicone sticks which once hanged on the ceiling, give a dynamic effect to it, producing a relaxing atmosphere. In addition, the ceiling hides lamps and distributes the light unevenly.
LIGHTING
Giat is working on projects which see silicone as main material to build innovative lamps and LED gaskets.
